Matcha is made from Gyokuro, Japan’s highest grade and most prestigious green tea. The leaves are de-veined and slowly stone ground into a fine powder. Matcha is wonderful hot or served over ice. Matcha can also be used in cooking, baking and for power shakes. Matcha contains higher concentrations of antioxidants than any other tea. Tea Squared premium matcha is harvested in Mie – one of Japan’s premier growing regions. We fly our matcha in every two months to ensure freshness.
